Turkey (main transit country of the “New Silk Road”) in focus of chinese investors
When China unveiled the “One Belt and One Road” project with a volume of USD 1,300 billion in 2013, Turkey suddenly took a key position for China. With a doubling of the volume of goods transport by 2025 and a tripling by 2030, as well as the connection of India, Pakistan and Iran via the Southern Span, with Istanbul and Edirne as a transfer point to Europe, this area is gaining the main attention of Chinese investors.
With Sinosure as the state-owned Chinese credit insurer of the Turkish sovereign wealth fund TVF (USD 5 billion), large-scale projects are handled smoothly with Turkish state-owned companies.
